Here's Why You Will Love Costa Teguise
Costa Teguise, located only a short 20 minute drive from Villa Elena, is one of the more popular destinations with tourists here in Lanzarote. With lots of restaurants, bars and places to dine of an evening, along with miles of stunning beaches and some great cultural spots, it captures the heart of all those who visit it. Whilst there are many great things about enjoying a villa holiday, one of the best things is the freedom to visit wherever you’d like. As Costa Teguise is one of the closest destinations to our villa, we wanted to give you a little bit of background information about it, and tell you about some of the fantastic things you can get up to there.
The history of Costa Teguise
Costa Teguise came in the early stages of being built into a resort and tourist destination back in the 1970s. Another popular location in Lanzarote is Puerto Del Carmen, and originally, Costa Teguise was set to be designed as a slightly more glamorous and classy alternative to it.
Why do people visit there
Costa Teguise is quite a peaceful little town, but with plenty going on and always filled with happy tourists. Notorious for its golden sandy beaches, many holidaymakers return to this resort year after year due to its charm and beauty. There really is something for everyone, whether you’re looking for a relaxing and quiet break, a family holiday, or even some good nightlife - Costa Teguise ticks all the boxes.
What is there to do
It can satisfy you as either a peaceful and relaxed holiday, or an activity-based, fun filled trip. If it’s more of an adult holiday, there are lots of bars - perfect for a nice cocktail on the beach front! And there is a beautiful eray of beaches to choose from, so that you can find the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the stunning views and calm sea breeze. However, if you’re a bit more active and seek fun activities wherever you go, there are watersports available such as windsurfing, too!
Don’t think that everything is limited to the beach, either. There are tonnes of places to go, including the local aquarium and extremely popular water park. There’s also a lot of cultural spots intertwined in Costa Teguise, one of these being Castillo De San Gabriel. This historical castle allows you to explore and learn a but more about the history of the town, all whilst taking in some of the culture.
